Position:
As a Product Owner, you are responsible for requirements drafting, prioritization, and delivery of Pixelogic platform applications to internal and external customers. Acting as a customer advocate, you will engage with user groups to gather information and set a product direction that supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. The engagement lifecycle includes initial user discussions, assessment of user needs, synthesizing product requirements, planning the engineering effort, and supporting solution delivery through deployment and post-release activities such as user acceptance and hypercare. The candidate should exhibit strong leadership skills and extensive experience in product ownership in a related industry. A Product Owner must combine their business knowledge with technological expertise to promote product innovation.
The pHelix Distribution Authoring platform is in transition. We’re moving from sophisticated standalone tools used on premises at our offices around the globe to an elegant ecosystem of integrated components to drive cloud workflows accessible from anywhere and powering the most efficient delivery of content worldwide.
The next generation of the pHelix Distribution Authoring platform leverages mezzanine components along the end-to-end digital distribution pipeline handling asset collection, qualification, and preparation. Title metadata, technical metadata, and assets come together to form the basis of a deliverable package. This combination of material along with a robust library of destination profiles allows the system to output targeted deliveries to streaming platforms, networks, and retailers on a global scale. The breadth of delivery profiles ranges from simple asset-only fulfilment to multi-language MovieLabs Digital Distribution Framework (MDDF) packages and everything in between.
As the Product Owner focusing on Distribution Authoring, you will be leading the effort to refactor and reorganize the Distribution Authoring tools and processes while focusing on integration points with the broader pHelix ecosystem (orders, assets, metadata, and orchestration). During this transition, the existing tools will also be maintained until they can safely be retired.
You will be part of a team pushing the products forward that deliver the most complex, innovative, time-sensitive, and highly visible entertainment content in the world.
