Tapcheck is seeking a Product Manager with extensive experience in partner and client growth within the B2B or SaaS fintech space. This role will be pivotal in delivering our Earned Wage Access (EWA) service as a key financial wellness benefit for Tapcheck’s partners, business clients, and their hourly employees. You will drive the product strategy, ensure implementation quality, and oversee the day-to-day execution of your engineering team. Success in this role hinges on your ability to work directly with external partners and business clients to drive expansion, awareness, and adoption of the Tapcheck service within their ecosystems, products, and services.

In this role, you will focus on three critical KPIs: enhancing our closed-won rate by refining our sales motion across all market segments (SMBs, mid-market, and Enterprise), reducing the time to launch for business accounts of varying sizes, and amplifying our sales growth through strategic partner integrations (including payroll, timeclock, ERP, and HRIS providers). Your leadership will also ensure that Tapcheck remains in compliance with financial regulations and standards (PCI, SOX, IFRS, FinCEN).

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with Tapcheck’s strategic goals and market opportunities to drive sustainable growth.
  • Conduct detailed market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, informing product positioning and strategic decisions.
  • Refine sales strategies, create effective enablement tools, and streamline processes to improve the closed-won rate across various market segments (SMBs, mid-market, and Enterprise).
  • Oversee the entire product launch process, ensuring a swift time-to-market while aligning product features with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships and integrations with key providers such as payroll, timeclock, ERP, and HRIS systems to expand Tapcheck’s ecosystem and deliver added value to customers.
  • Ensure all product features and integrations meet relevant financial regulations and standards (e.g., PCI, SOX, IFRS, FinCEN) to maintain high levels of trust and security.
  • Lead cross-functional teams by fostering strong collaboration, communication, and alignment across engineering, sales, marketing, and customer service to meet product goals.
  • Monitor product performance through key metrics, analyze data to gain insights, and implement continuous optimizations to enhance product functionality, user experience, and market fit.
  • Collect and integrate customer feedback into the product development lifecycle, prioritizing enhancements that drive customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to stay at the forefront of product management and fintech innovation, and actively share this knowledge with the team and the broader community.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in product management, with a minimum of 4 years in B2B/fintech environments, demonstrating a successful track record in product strategy and lifecycle management.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll, timekeeping, ERP, and HRIS systems, along with expertise in API integrations and familiarity with software development practices and cloud services.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform product decisions and strategic planning.
  • Deep knowledge of financial services and regulatory standards, including PCI, SOX, IFRS, and FinCEN, as well as experience with financial wellness solutions.
  • Ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking, making informed decisions that drive long-term success.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams and excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • A strong focus on customer needs, with a commitment to using feedback to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Adaptability to change, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to navigate a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for fintech, a commitment to continuous learning, and a dedication to ethical decision-making.

Compensation: $185,000-$225,000 + bonus + equity. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: location, experience, training, knowledge. and skills. Tapcheck reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time.
