Principal Geologist

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Environmental Services firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Principal Geologist in Costa Mesa, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the development of project scope and budget and oversight of project technical requirements
• Ensure accuracy of project controls reporting, ensure proper project staffing and managing the development and reporting of KPIs
• Sustain and develop business opportunities and maintain positive relationships with the client
• Develop, maintain, and execute program management plan, including preparing forecasts of program revenue
• Develop, and/or participate in development of proposals for engineering services on a project by project basis
• Oversee project managers, geologists, engineers, and teams responsible for the development of site investigation and remediation paradigms, remedial engineering designs, reports and documents
• Ensure financial reports are prepared and submitted to the client as needed
• Oversee the receipt of purchase orders and project set up
• Develop project organization and staffing assignments
• Review and approve billing reports before preparation of invoices
• Report to the Account Manager on contract performance
• Ensure compliance with project plan and procedures
• Oversee the implementation of corporate quality and safety standards into the projects

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelors Degree in Geology with emphasis in Faulting and seismicity
• from an accredited university.
• Between 5-10 years of experience working in the field of geology.
• Must have Professional Geology License to practice in California. For Principal must be certified engineering geologist.
• Have good oral communication and writing skills in English.
• Able to hire and train staff.
• Do business development.
• Responsible for the performance (profitability) of the office.
