We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pre-Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law such as personal injury and employment law. This role requires excellent legal research and drafting skills, along with the ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients. As a Litigation Attorney, you will represent clients in court, manage case files, and provide sound legal advice.
Duties
- Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including trials and hearings.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Prepare for court appearances by organizing case materials and evidence.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting cases.
- Provide clients with clear communication regarding case progress and legal options.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience in family law, patent law, or securities law is preferred.
- Strong skills in legal research and drafting.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on client advocacy.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple cases.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
