Our esteemed client, an employment law firm, with over two decades of experience, is seeking dedicated Pre-Litigation Attorneys to join our team. The ideal candidates will have an ongoing interest and proficiency in Wage and Hour, Class Actions, and PAGA. This role involves comprehensive case management, motion practice, depositions, and effective communication with all parties involved.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated interest and proficiency in Wage and Hour, Class Actions, and PAGA.

Employment Litigation Tasks:

Case Management:

• Manage caseloads to ensure deadlines are met.
• Handle cases from inception to conclusion.

Motion Practice:

• Draft and respond to discovery.
• Draft pleadings, mediation briefs, and meeting and conferring letters.
• Engage in motion practice and argue motions.

Depositions:

• Take and defend depositions.
• Interview witnesses and gather documents.
• Marshall facts.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with opposing counsel, co-counsel, and officers of the court.
• Proactively communicate with clients, set clear expectations, and ensure they feel confident about their case.

Skills:

• In good standing with the CA bar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
• Excellent time management.
• Strong drafting and copywriting skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficient in legal research and analysis.
• Ability to develop key case strategies and make critical case management decisions.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
