The Post-Closing Specialist is responsible for resolving investor’s post-closing conditions, including collaborating with internal and external partners to obtain the necessary documentation for purchase. They are also responsible for insuring FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the point of contact and resolve all post-closing conditions provided by investors
- Monitor investor Post Closing pipelines daily to identify outstanding conditions.
- Collaborate with the Closing team to request necessary corrections to Closing documents, such as the Note, Deed of Trust, or Closing Disclosure.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to obtain missing or corrected documents and follow up to ensure they are received in a timely manner.
- Act as back-up for other Post-Closing Specialists in their absence.
- Audit loans prior to being sold to Agencies (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae) to ensure all data is correct and required documents are in the file.
- Deliver loans to Agencies to ensure loans get certified and settled in a timely manner. This includes preparing required forms for Custodian.
- Monitoring pipelines daily to identify outstanding loans for insuring.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in mortgage.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and the drive to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to the highest quality.
