Full Job Description
Auria is looking for a Platform Engineer (contingent position) with 10+ years of experience in El Segundo, CA. This position will provide direct Space Operations support to the Space Systems Command with highly qualified, top performing professional services in platform and system engineering to help revolutionize the way the United States Space Force (USSF) builds, deploys, and operates software to overcome the challenges of the next space conflict.
On this team, you will support the United States Space Force build a reliable platform to host Spade Domain Awareness and Space C2 applications. These applications enhance the capabilities for the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC), 18th Space Control Squadron (SPCS), and National Space Defense Center (NSDC).
Salary Range: $126,000 - $175,000
Requirements:
- 10 years of relevant experience.
- 5 or more years of direct experience as a Platform Engineer.
- 5 or more years supporting DoD programs.
- BS in computer science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or similar.
- Security + Certification
- Secret clearance
- 3+ years of developing and delivering configuration and deployment automation required for continuously improving the functionality, availability, and manageability of platform and associated services
- 3+ years of setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation and troubleshooting
- 3+ years of using scripting tools to develop automated “self-service” capabilities in the Platform as a Service for the software development teams
- 3+ years of working closely with software developers in troubleshooting issues
- 3+ years of deploying and operationalizing platforms built on Kubernetes by designing for storage integration, container networking, service routing, observability, and platform security
- 3+ years of providing deployment, operational assistance and guidance monitoring, management, disaster recovery, security compliance/auditing, networking, storage, service brokers and build packs
- 3+ years of driving platform adoption by working with application teams to embrace modern practices around developer workflow, application enhancements, build and packaging, application lifecycle, and observability
Preferred:
- 6+ years of developing and delivering configuration and deployment automation required for continuously improving the functionality, availability, and manageability of platform and associated services
