Payroll Analyst (1367)

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a dedicated Payroll Analyst to join our growing team. The Payroll Analyst will play a crucial role in our operations by managing payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for our valued staff, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our business. This position will be based out of our corporate office in Sacramento and will be reporting to the Director of Finance. This is a high visibility role and has advancement opportunity for the right candidate.

What the Payroll Analyst role looks like:  

• Manage end-to-end weekly payroll processing for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, bonuses and overtime. 

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. 

• Ensure accuracy of payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and overtime. 

• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues. 

• Prepare and maintain payroll reports for management review. 

• Collaborate with HR regarding employee changes, benefits, new hires, and terminations. 

• Assist in the reconciliation of payroll-related accounts. 

• Provide exceptional customer service in response to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related issues. 

What our ideal candidate looks like:  

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR or related field, or equivalent experience. 

• Proven experience in payroll processing and analysis. 

• Experience with various payroll software and systems, Gusto a plus! 

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite with intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel. 

• Strong understanding of labor laws and payroll regulations. 

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. 

Environment: 

• Standard office setting. 

• Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. 

• Must be able to sit for up to 4 hours at a time.
