Full Job Description
Provides psychotherapeutic services to all patients and their families; serves as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assures the deliverance of quality treatment to patients and their families.
*Pay Range: $30/hr. to $45/hr.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts psychosocial assessments to document and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus
- Participates, monitors and documents in the formulation of patient’s treatment plans, including the establishment of treatment goals and objectives
- Consult with doctors, case managers and nursing staff as needed to provide quality patient care Contacts outpatient treatment providers as needed
- Conducts individual therapy sessions with patients, family therapy sessions with patients and family members and process-oriented group therapies, as well as conducting educational and other didactic groups as assigned
- Reports to community and/or state agencies regarding any patient issues as required by law and represents Aurora San Diego Hospital in legal proceedings as required
- Complies with facility safety, infection control and security program
- Upholds the Organization’s ethics and customer service standards
- Performs related duties, as requested
Skills:
- Maintains confidentiality of patients at all times
- Strong interpersonal skills including sensitivity to and willingness to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
- Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as well as possessing the skills to lead, influence, and motivate others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, expanding organization
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related clinical field
- Current California licensure as LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT (Preferred)
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
