Full Job Description
Operations Interns will support Accountability Counsel’s strategic communications goals and organizational operations, in addition to contributing to the organization’s wellness and security initiatives. This position offers interns the opportunity to learn how a small legal nonprofit is run.
Responsibilities may include developing social media content, drafting communications materials, researching media targets, monitoring news and current events within the field, supporting the staff wellness and security committees, and contributing to the general operations of the organization.
Spring and Fall positions are unpaid volunteer positions, but we will be happy to work with your institution to arrange academic credit. For Summer positions, we ask that applicants make diligent efforts to secure funding from their schools or other external sources. If you are not able to obtain such funding, stipends may be available to cover costs of living, so we encourage all to apply.

Spring
Fellowship Period: January – April
Fellowship Parameters: 16 hours per week minimum.
Summer
Fellowship Period: June – August
Fellowship Parameters: 40 hours per week; 10 week minimum.
Fall
Fellowship Period: September – December
Fellowship Parameters: 16 hours per week minimum.
Requirements
We seek interns who demonstrate an interest for the organization’s mission and values, as well as a desire to work with a human rights advocacy-oriented nonprofit. Operations Intern applicants should demonstrate an interest and understanding of our work, strong written and oral communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. All applicants are expected to have completed at least two years of their undergraduate education before applying.
