The mission of SOAP MAT, LLC is to provide a high quality outpatient opiate treatment program (OTP) that promotes health and well-being to an underserved opiate dependent population. The objective of the program will be to provide affordable, medically assisted treatment (MAT) utilizing the harm reduction model, focusing on each patient as an individual. The goal of treatment will therefore be to enable the community to function at a higher level, yielding a decrease in crime rates, high risk behaviors and deaths. To that end, SOAP MAT, LLC will promote sobriety, as evidenced by an absence of abusing illicit opioids.
At SOAP MAT LLC, we offer a comprehensive range of services aimed at supporting individuals' overall well-being. Our services include counseling, case management, social work, referrals to community resources, educational programs, work eligibility, vocational rehabilitation, and nutritional counseling. We prioritize compliance with various governmental regulatory agencies, including the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration / Center of Substance Abuse Treatment (SAMHSA/CSAT), the Council on Accreditation (COA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the California Department of Health Care Services. Job Title: Nursing Supervisor
Reports to: Nursing Director
Job Purpose: The purpose of the nursing supervisor is to oversee all nursing staff, including the oversight of medication management. Documentation within the patient records and clinic logs will be consistent with all local, state and federal guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the dose room is in full compliance with all clinic policies as well as federal, state laws and regulations
- Ensure the medical section of the clinic files are in compliance with federal, state and local guidelines.
- Review the medical sections of the files on a monthly basis to ensure medical compliance.
- Ensure proper administration of medications used in narcotic treatment programs are as ordered by the medical director.
- Review medication records for accuracy.
- Review procedures to ensure the security of medication as required by clinic policy, state and federal regulations.
- Assist the clinic director and medical director by providing relevant medical trainings to staff throughout the year in order to be compliant with audits.
- Adhere to all local, state and federal guidelines.
Requirements
- A licensed registered nurse (RN), licensed vocational nurse (LVN) or licensed psychiatric technician (LPT) with current licensure in California.
- Have training or experience in treating persons with opiate addiction.
- Conduct him/herself ethically and professionally at all times.
- Has knowledge of and is culturally sensitive to the problems of the patients of the clinic.
- Ensure program policies and procedures for all patients and staff is maintained.
- Demonstrable history of no alcohol or drug/medication misuse for a period of five (5) years prior to employment.
- The perspective individual will not display any evidence of alcohol or drug/medication misuse and/or unlawful behavior as an employee of SOAP MAT, LLC.
