Job Description
We are seeking a North America General Manager to join our expanding team in Silicon Valley. As a core member of our leadership, you will drive business development, build strategic partnerships, and lead the North American team to execute high-impact initiatives. You will have the unique opportunity to define the company’s market strategy in the U.S., establish key customer relationships, and create a scalable operational framework for future growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth & Sales Leadership:
- Lead efforts to acquire and expand enterprise customers across key verticals such as internet, retail, FMCG, automotive, and financial services.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and achieve KPI targets.
- Act as a "player-coach," directly closing key deals while mentoring and scaling a high-performing sales team.
- Strategic Planning & Market Positioning:
- Define and implement go-to-market strategies, including identifying and prioritizing high-potential markets and customer segments.
- Build and maintain long-term partnerships with enterprise clients and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Team Development & Operations:
- Recruit, develop, and manage a cross-functional team, including sales, marketing, and business operations.
- Collaborate with the domestic R&D and product teams to align customer needs with technical solutions.
- Market Intelligence & Innovation:
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry developments to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Contribute to product innovation by gathering feedback and insights from North American customers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above; 10–15 years of professional experience, with at least 5–10 years in sales leadership roles within B2B markets (cloud, database, or enterprise software industries preferred).
- Proven track record in enterprise sales, achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
- Strong understanding of open-source software or distributed systems is a significant plus.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with database, data analytics, or cloud technologies.
- Previous experience working in a startup environment or a strong interest in contributing to the growth of an early-stage company.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
