Mid-Level Corporate Associate

Direct Counsel is currently seeking a Mid-Level Corporate Associate to join a top law firm in their San Diego, California office. The ideal candidate will have a JD degree, a minimum of 3 years of experience in Emerging Growth Companies (EGC) and Venture Capital (VC) transactions, and a solid background in mergers and acquisitions. This individual will play a crucial role in handling legal matters related to emerging growth companies, venture capital transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate must be admitted to practice law in California and possess direct and applicable experience from an AmLaw 100 law firm or have SEC experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on a variety of legal matters related to emerging growth companies, venture capital transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide legal counsel and support on complex corporate transactions.
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and successful transaction execution.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Emerging Growth Companies (EGC) and Venture Capital (VC) transactions.
• Admitted to practice law in California.
• Direct and applicable experience from an AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $250,000 – $345,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
