NeueHouse currently operates across three different, but equally iconic properties in New York City and Los Angeles:
• Our Madison Square (MSQ) House is situated in New York’s iconic Flatiron District, was previously home for Tepper Galleries, a well-known Manhattan auction house for international artists and collectors in the 1930s – and neighbors the 69th Regiment Armory where the first International Exhibition of Modern Art was held.
• Our Hollywood House (HWD), which sits on Sunset Boulevard, is one of LA’s most celebrated buildings and occupies the original CBS Studio (the world’s first structure built intentionally for broadcast). Here genre-defining artists from Orson Wells and Lucille Ball to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan built their legacy.
• Our Venice Beach House (VB) was once the creative home to some of the most influential creative luminaries in art and entertainment including Hal Ashby, Oliver Stone, and David Hockney, NeueHouse Venice Beach is a new work, social, and cultural hub for the Venice creative community.
The Role
Membership Development Manager supports the Membership Development team in growing revenue for the business by developing the relationships necessary to capture and retain the diverse, creative membership base for which NeueHouse is known. Collaboratively partnering with a variety of internal and external partners, the Membership Development Manager reports directly to the Director, Membership Development.
Requirements
NeueHouse leads the market in creating luxury hospitality experiences for our Members and Guests, meaning our sales products is non-traditional and more closely aligned to B2B.
The ultimate focus for the Membership Development Manager is to support the sale of NeueHouse memberships and to ignite interest in the various levels of access offered. These include, but are not limited to:
- Gallery, Atelier and Studio Memberships
- Salon Memberships
- Brand Access Memberships (BAMs)
- Reporting into, supporting, and working alongside our Director, Membership Development, we envision a manager who is high-energy, a self-starter (we are a small team where everyone plays high and low), and adaptable. You should be excited by the opportunity to wear more than just one hat: marketing, leads generation and qualification, driving and closing sales, brand knowledge, partnerships and more will organically be woven into the role.
- Assist with sales and marketing budget, along with administrative duties in support of membership (i.e.: outbound initiatives, contracts etc.).
- The role will likewise demand the Manager to be consistent and creative in researching, identifying, and targeting the relevant prospective Member base for NeueHouse and each of our Membership offerings.
- The Membership Development Manager will assist the Membership Development team with solicitation and lunches as well as assist with onsite tours.
- The Membership Development Manager will execute contracts and lead reporting for the team. This includes and is not exclusive to updating the occupancy report, weekly sales report, and YTD documents.
- NeueHouse uses Salesforce, our CRM, to track and measure the progress of our sales over time, and while experience with the system isn’t necessary, you must demonstrate the financial acumen to drive sales across a multi-million-dollar, multi-unit business with several different revenue streams.
- With a reputation for and innate understanding of high-touch customer service – you are the consummate host for prospect Members and no detail in providing for these, our guests or our teams go unnoticed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years developing relationships within consultative sales-focused environments.
- Minimum 2+ years of hospitality or private clubs (Membership focused) preferred
- An innate understanding and demonstrated ability with high-touch and consistent customer service
- Experience with Salesforce, or similar CRM programs
- Demonstrates strong financial acumen, including maintaining and applying a broad understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible. Demonstrates broad understanding of financial management principles to direct organizational actions.
- Strong administrative capabilities to support and organize sales objectives
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise and professional manner in both verbal and written form
- Ability to coordinate and multitask
