JOB SUMMARY
The Masons of California are looking to hire a Freemason as a Membership Advisor to support prospective members interested in joining California Freemasonry.
The Membership Advisor (MA) serves as a resource to lodges and prospective qualified members interested in joining Freemasonry in California. The MA acts as a liaison between prospective qualified members and lodges across the state of California.
The MA will coordinate the relationship between the prospective member and a lodge from the prospect’s first inquiry, through the application process and, if the prospect proves to be qualified and is elected by a lodge, into joining the fraternity.
This position reports to the Manager of Membership and Lodge Development and is 80% remote.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commitment to ensuring that interested and qualified prospective members are connected to a lodge for further assessment and potential membership
- Understand and communicate the membership and qualification process for joining a Masonic lodge in California
- Serve as an ambassador, exemplifying the values and culture of the Masons of California to the public and within the Masonic fraternity
- Provide support and serve as a resource of information to both staff and prospective members
- Maintain, update and report on the prospective member database
- Be an effective communicator with prospective members, current members, and staff
- Follow through on processes and communications
- Ensure qualified prospective members are referred to lodges and have the opportunity to apply for membership and, if elected, receive their initiation
- Perform such other duties as may be necessary
Requirements
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 years of experience in sales and /or customer service
- Bilingual preferred; ability to effectively communicate in Spanish
- This position is remote in the Pacific Standard Time zone of the United States
- Support a positive team environment with a friendly and can-do attitude
- Ability to use and understand Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent listening skills; ability to communicate with people comfortably and effectively
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong detail orientation: ability to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Strong ability to track actions and follow through on processes
- At least one year of current membership in a recognized Masonic lodge
- Customer or guest services experience is desirable
