Full Job Description
The MCS Manufacturing Associate will work in a dynamic production environment, supporting development, clinical, and commercial activities. This role involves performing hands-on operations in the manufacturing area, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The successful candidate will perform tasks related to the setup, cleaning, maintenance, and operation of various manufacturing equipment, as well as support critical production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, set up, clean, and sanitize manufacturing equipment.
- Prepare buffers and media according to Manufacturing Procedures (MPs) and SOPs.
- Follow GMP documents and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Perform in-process sampling and monitor critical processes, troubleshooting basic issues as needed.
- Operate and maintain analytical equipment.
- Perform washroom activities, including cleaning of small- and large-scale production equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work in a cleanroom environment, following gowning procedures and safety requirements.
- Draft and revise SOPs, MPs, and initiate quality deviation records.
- Assist in the review of batch records and other documentation.
- Identify and recommend improvements for routine functions.
- Perform tasks involving physical activity such as lifting (up to 35 lbs), pushing/pulling (up to 50 lbs), and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Work around high-pressure systems and occasionally heavy equipment.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of Manufacturing/Operations experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Manufacturing/Operations experience.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow directions.
- Strong initiative, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to create a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and standing on ladders or portable stairs up to 6 feet high.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Life Sciences.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment and familiarity with GMP.
