Terran Orbital is looking for an experienced Material Specialist with an extensive background in consumable inventory to join our growing team. The right candidate will be one who is constantly driving themselves and the team towards completing the next challenge and has a strong desire for process adherence and improvement. The Material Specialist will be responsible for inventory control of all flight and nonflight consumable inventory. This role is held to ensure adequate stock levels of consumable inventory is always maintained. The material specialist must work in a dynamic environment coordinating with all functional areas of supply chain.
This role will be on our first shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee organization wide management of consumable inventory
- Maintain physical and systematic records of all consumable inventory
- Analyze consumption data to establish adequate mid/max supply levels
- Maintain a clean stockroom of all consumable inventory
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing framework with a focus on cost and supplier performance management
- Drive annual cost reductions, proactively manage purchase price variance, and lead annual standard cost review
- Collaborate with Product, Program and Engineering and other cross functional teams to deliver products on time and within cost targets
- Work collaboratively with the procurement specialist and contract management
- Establish key sourcing performance indicators, monitor ongoing performance, and drive continuous improvements
- Support goals and objectives for the Supply Chain department that are flowed down by Company Supply Chain Roadmap, Operations objectives, and Legal
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an Inventory Control role
- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines daily with limited supervision
- Strong analytical framework
- Business awareness
- Knowledge of the ERP/MRP
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Advanced analytical interpretation and problem-solving skills
- Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedule issues & mitigations
- Effective in working with large data set
- You must have strong and effective influencing skills and capable of gaining consensus
- You should be able to navigate across the organization effectively and efficiently
- Must be able to make the "tough choice" when confronted with complex decisions and demonstrate flexibility on resolving issues
- Must demonstrate ability to “overcommunicate” as needed

Salary Range $23.00 – $28.00/hr.
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands
An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.
Work Environment
The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
