In this exciting role as a Market Engagement Lead – Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting small business customers. Your primary objective will be to help these businesses understand and take advantage of energy and cost-saving incentives to boost their operations.
Your key responsibilities will include providing operational support for the entire California SBE portfolio, improving program processes and project operations through the development and implementation of projects, addressing program inquiries, managing program invoicing and administrative reporting, and collaborating with client representatives to handle program leads. As the ideal candidate, you will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and problem-solving skills. You will receive guidance on projects and desired outcomes, and you should feel comfortable asking questions and delivering proposed solutions within given timeframes. It's important that you have experience working with energy efficiency programs and have a good understanding of California utility clients (ideally residing in California).

Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports program operation activities, such as program client invoicing, subcontractor accruals, administrative reporting, and process improvement projects.
- Identifies, tracks, and monitors goal progress and assists in managing leads from multiple outreach sources and documenting these activities in Program databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely project data uploads within program systems as well as client systems.
- Promptly and professionally respond to inquiries and questions from customers and client representatives.
- Provides ongoing support and collaboration to team members, subcontractors, clients and other key stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience, preferably with California utility energy efficiency programs and related prescriptive/deemed measures.
- Understanding of energy efficiency interventions (e.g., LED lighting, refrigeration controls, HVAC controls, water savings measures, etc.), or other building-related experience.
- A background in program marketing and/or outreach, project management, energy efficiency measures and/or methods (e.g., LED lighting), or other building-related experience is preferred.
- Able to learn new tools and technologies quickly (e.g., Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, Asana, etc.)
- Team Player with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team setting and work efficiently on independent projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to travel up to 10%
- Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.
Preferred skills, education and experience
- Project management and/or commercial energy management training.

The compensation range for this exempt position is $90000 - $110,000. The stated range is based on a good faith estimate of the compensation range for the duties, responsibilities and skills / experience required for the position. Starting pay will be dependent on experience and internal equity. This provided range may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, especially with industry experience.
