Full Job Description

The Quality Manager will be responsible for managing the MRB (Material Review Board), NPR (New Product Returns), Calibration, ECO Management/Implementation, and oversee the Quality Systems Tools/Applications such as Dynamics (Quality portion) and Net-Inspect.

The role is in charge of supervising staff and processes in the mentioned areas. The Quality Manager delivers optimal quality processes and recommends improvements where necessary. The role is accountable for all KPIs associated with his/her areas and leads internal groups in process improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and enhance procedures
  • Lead MRB Board meetings to define best disposition for discrepant material
  • Monitor, report, and improve the KPIs assigned by management
  • Lead the improvements of the ERP System (Dynamics) associated to Quality Operations
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of Net-Inspect across the company, including suppliers and other SPI sites
  • Lead the NPR process and the associated metrics
  • Manage all calibration needs across the company
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering to define root causes of discrepant materials and/or supplier assessments
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and systems
  • Monitor processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Train staff on quality control procedures and external/internal requirements
  • Collaborate with other managers/departments to ensure product is delivered on time
  • Apply educated Root Cause Corrective Action analysis to problem solving
  • Utilize Lean Principles to improve key KPIs/Processes such as On-Time Delivery and Product Quality
  • Ensure the business remains compliant with ISO 9001, AS9100, customers, and/ or the government and regulatory (FAA / EASA) requirements
  • Understand and communicate standards and regulations supporting business decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or related field of study
  • 5+ years of progress Quality and/or Regulatory experience within the Aerospace industry
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Management role
  • Basic knowledge of budgetary process
  • Strong understanding and experience with FAA Part 21 and FAA Part 145 is high desired
  • Strong understanding of AS9100 requirements and/or FAA/EASA regulations
  • Prior exposure to the manufacture of electronic components for Aerospace application
  • Write and update standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Perform data collection and statically analysis on the data to drive decisions

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
