Full Job Description
Location: Los Angeles, California
Salary: $80,000/yr
Organization Overview
Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to California’s most vulnerable individuals, with an emphasis on those transitioning from, or at risk of, homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. We implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veterans’ services, and health care sectors.
In short, we do good work.
We have offices statewide with a staff of passionate people. While we are growing rapidly, we are also selective: We’re seeking inspired, talented people who want to effect profound change and who have fun doing it.
Department Summary
The Fund Development team at Brilliant Corners advances the organization’s mission through fund development, stewardship, and budget advocacy. Fund Development acts as the lead on funding proposal writing and reporting, contributes to the organization’s “intermediary” role by underwriting and managing grants for key partners, and supports the larger Partnerships, Advocacy and Communications Department, as needed. Led by the Chief Strategic Partnerships Officer, the team works collaboratively to secure new resources for Brilliant Corners’ capacity and programs, while also spearheading similar efforts for our government partners. This work is always done with an eye towards equity—being careful to avoid narratives that reinforce disempowerment of the communities that we serve.
