Full Job Description

The Manager Financial Reporting will be working within the Global Financial Reporting group. This role will work on the global functions of equity accounting and stock-based compensation, internal controls, SEC reporting, complex revenue recognition, and consolidations. This role will be involved in monthly close, quarterly reporting, technical accounting, and other special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare stock-based compensation calculations and forecasts
  • Prepare SEC filings including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K
  • Ability to draft footnotes and assess for new disclosure requirements in accordance with the GAAP checklist
  • Proficient understanding of GAAP including ASC 606, 842, and 718
  • Prepare global statement of cash flows
  • Support global consolidation, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidation reporting
  • Ability to research complex accounting and reporting, including technical memos and accounting
  • Involvement in mergers, acquisitions, and asset purchases, as applicable
  • Experience with multi-national company and foreign currency
  • Support global accounting teams in analysis and resolution of accounting, control or audit issues and analysis of significant, new, unusual, or complex transactions
  • Facilitate and lead quarterly reporting function, tasks and meetings
  • Prepare management reports and presentations for the Controller and CFO
  • Ability to assess control risks/gaps and advise on internal controls, including liaison with internal audit firm and business partners
  • Assist with SOX compliance including providing and coordinating deliverables with internal audit and external audit teams

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA is required
  • 5-7 years of experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm or for a public company with SEC experience
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and handle multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Exceptional organizational, problem solving, anticipatory and follow up skills.
  • Proficient user of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and Word, and PowerPoint, tools from Microsoft Office.

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $120,000.00 to $130,000.00 Full-Time Annual Salary
