Maintenance Worker

Full time position working in the Bethel Church Facilities Department. This position works with a team of maintenance/construction workers to perform basic routine maintenance on the church properties directly under the Maintenance Director.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform a variety of maintenance and repairs under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
• Handle certain replacements and repairs generated through the Facilities work order system.
• Work in cooperation with the construction team on designated repairs, replacements, and projects.
• Perform general repair and maintenance of all building infrastructure and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis, which includes belts, fluid levels, filters, bearing lubrication, seal replacement as well as repairing and replacing broken parts.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures.

Requirements

Looking for skill sets and experience in the following areas:

• General handyman skills
• Electrical, HVAC, and plumbing
• Installing/repairing door hardware
• Welding and fabricating experience
• Current, valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools, and the ability to perform a variety of physical labor; climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time; lifting and carrying boxes, tools, equipment, and materials
• Adequate problem solving ability to identify issues and create action plans
• Competent to follow oral and/or written instructions
