Full Job Description
The Maintenance Technician Senior will be responsible for advanced installation, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and maintenance of various office utility and facility equipment. The position also involves documentation and log management for systems used in manufacturing, utility plants, analytical labs, and office areas.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on a wide variety of equipment.
- Develop, write, and manage quality and safety documentation, including:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Change Control (CCMS)
- Non-Conformance (NC)
- Work Orders (WO)
- Job Plans (JP)
- Hazard Risk Assessments (HRA)
- Job Hazard Assessments (JHA)
- Maintain and oversee various building, utility, and production systems/equipment while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOPs, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and internal procedures.
- Provide training for staff, clients, and projects.
- Offer audit support and approve maintenance reports, forms, plans, and records.
- Interpret and revise technical documents like loop sheets, electrical schematics, P&ID's, I/O wiring, and panel drawings.
- Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner with minimal production impact.
- Monitor packaging configurations and batch records, reconcile components and products, and calculate product exposure to room temperatures.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of safety culture and procedures, including hazard assessments (HRA, JHA).
- Comfortable working with complex systems in manufacturing environments, utility plants, and labs.
- Experience with training staff and providing audit support.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
- Able to stand, walk, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Extensive hands-on maintenance experience, with a strong ability to troubleshoot systems.
- Experience with filling, finishing, and packaging processes, preferably in vial inspection.
- Strong understanding of measurements, calculations, and the metric system.
- Basic knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working with documentation and compliance systems such as SOPs, work orders, and job plans.
Shift:
- 12-hour shift (6:30 PM - 7:30 AM), Thursday through Saturday, and alternating Wednesdays
- Initial on-boarding/training: Monday through Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)
