Maintenance Technician Senior

Join the BioPharma Consulting JAD Group team as a Senior Maintenance Technician! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment and systems used in the biopharmaceutical industry. You will work closely with the Facilities & Engineering Department to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience and knowledge in maintenance practices and procedures related to biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair production mechanical equipment.
• Support maintenance, operation, and repair of Fill/Finish facility systems.
• Assist engineering and operations with equipment design, installation, testing, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Amgen regulations.
• Maintain inspection readiness of equipment areas.
• Identify training needs and provide recommendations and training.
• Improve maintenance practices and documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance and associated paperwork per cGMP guidelines.
• Coordinate contractors for equipment repairs, modifications, and installations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality on new system installations or modifications.
• Attend required cGMP and Safety training.
• Maintain assigned qualifications.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical filling, freeze drying, and packaging equipment.
• Familiarity with pumps, valves, mechanical seals, motors, and lubrication.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of cGMP and Predictive Maintenance techniques.
• Ability to read and revise engineering documents.
• Strong writing skills for technical reports.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus.
• Ability to work safely with hazardous materials and equipment.
• Proficiency with P&IDs, SOPs, and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task and work overtime or modify shift as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 15 feet.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Associate degree and 4 years of experience OR
• High school diploma/GED and 6 years of experience.

Shift:

• 2nd and 3rd shift 4 days a week
