Amprius develops, designs, and manufactures very high-performance lithium-ion cells for advanced applications. Amprius invented and perfected a 100% silicon anode that enables the highest energy density cell commercially available in the industry.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician maintains and operates proprietary vacuum based coating equipment to produce silicon nanowire anode material. The candidate must be reliable and able to work well in a team, as well as have experience with maintaining vacuum equipment. This role reports to the Director of Equipment Engineer. This is a TEMP role with an opportunity to be converted to PERM.

Job Functions

• Use small equipment and hand tools to maintain vacuum-based coating equipment
• Operate large equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow complex procedures and instructions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Input data into database management software

Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience with vacuum-based semiconductor production equipment preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Proficient with hand tools and production equipment
• Follow standard work instructions and recommend improvements
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter data accurately
• Responsible for quality of tasks performed
• Strict attention to detail

Education & Experience:

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• One (1) year of related experience preferred

Work Schedule:

• This is a night shift opening on an alternating weekly schedule.
• Alternate Workweek Schedule: 3-days x 12-hour / 4-days x 12-hour every other week.

Physical Demands & Work Location:

• Fremont, CA: This is an on-site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
• Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
• May require to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull as required.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator and safety shoes.
