Maintenance Technician

As the Quality Control / Maintenance Technician, you will maintain systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance and quality control schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.

Responsibilities:

• Handles necessary repairs and maintenance of properties
• Installs equipment and appliances
• Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems associated with property maintenance; identifying problems and requirements to solve issues
• Implements a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations
• Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients
• Uses equipment such as power, hand held, electric and plumbing tools
• Collaborates with maintenance team
• Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, or plastering
• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of job and physicality
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in property maintenance and Quality Control
• Custodial and janitorial experience
• Customer Service skills
• Ability to plan tactically
• Technical school certificate preferred

Working Conditions

• Able and willing to work weekends, after hours and/or holidays where needed

• Must have reliable transportation
• Position requires employee to stand, walk, drive throughout shift
• Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs
• Indoors and outdoors work environment
• Position may come into contact with pets.

• Must use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous chemicals/materials
• Schedules vary based on business need, so flexibility is expected
• Position requires employee to talk or hear and occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
