JOB SUMMARY
SoLa Impact is actively seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Operations Intern to take on the role of a Coordinator within the Maintenance Operations team. In this internship, you will play a crucial part in supporting day-to-day operations, gaining hands-on experience in maintenance processes, and contributing to the overall success of SoLa's impactful initiatives.
- Duration: Monday, May 20th - Friday, August 23rd, 2024
- Location: The Beehive 961 E. 61st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90001
- Compensation: $17.00 per hour
- Schedule: 9:00am-5:00pm
- 24-40 hours; Flexible hours available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Operations team in coordinating day-to-day activities for various properties
- Assist in planning and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks for properties
- Support the preparation of reports, documentation, and communication materials related to maintenance operations
- Liaise with maintenance staff, vendors, and property owners to address inquiries and coordinate repair activities
- Participate in property inspections and assist in identifying maintenance needs
- Maintain and update key performance indicators for Maintenance Operations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Assist in implementing and optimizing maintenance processes and procedures
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related degree program
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office; familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and a proactive approach to tasks
- Knowledge of maintenance operations principles and practices is preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
