Full Job Description
This company is constructing state-of-the-art aerospace component manufacturing facilities using software-defined precision technology. They are in search of skilled machinists who are enthusiastic about advancing their craft and engineers who are motivated to enhance the manufacturing process.
They are looking for a Machining Quality Specialist with 2+ years of experience to work on all facets of the inspection workflow from machining to paperwork generation and shipping.
Requirements
Core responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with a CMM Programmer to follow a job's entire lifecycle
- Acquire skills in working alongside CAM Programming and Machining, particularly during prove-out and prototyping projects.
- Take full ownership of Quality operations throughout a job's lifecycle, excluding CMM programming.
- Partner with CMM Programmers to oversee all initial articles, addressing common errors and ensuring accurate creation of setup sheets that are comprehensible to operators.
- Conduct manual and visual inspections using the provided print, CAD model, and work instructions developed by programmers. You will also determine standards to be followed by technicians during the final inspection.
- Optimize workflows in cells such as roboticized CMM.
- Meticulously generate appropriate documentation that aligns with our customers' compliance expectations, ensuring data integrity and the correct operation of the company's proprietary software.
Required
- 2+ years experience in aerospace manufacturing, with track record of operating with Quality operations
- Experience reading & interpreting GD&T
- Level 1 PC-DMIS knowledge
- Experience with metrology tools (CMM, hand tools, optical comparator, scanners)
