Logistics Support Associate

Basic Purpose: 

Coordinates Vesta’s logistical resources to accommodate the job scopes related to the various projects completed by Vesta field teams.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

GENERAL

• Arrive to work area by the scheduled start time 
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude
• Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
• Assist in the ongoing cleanliness/organization of the work site
• Maintains a safe work environment and keeps management informed of any safety hazards
• Assist others as needed
• Provide accurate time cards through the proper use of their ADP payroll app
• Communicates well with Management keeping them informed of time off requests
• Keeps management informed of challenges they experience within the workplace
• Other assignments and tasks as assigned by manager or supervisor

• Follow all SOPs governing the tasks involved with successfully completing the duties assigned

• Should be prepared to assist with coverage in other logistics support roles when coverage is needed (Scheduling, Quality Control)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Allocate the market’s logistical resources to complete the necessary tasks pertaining to the scheduled activities from the calendar by routing trucks, assigning team members, and distributing equipment.
• Monitor incoming communication through various platforms regarding next day activities to ensure field teams have all of the necessary information to successfully complete their tasks
• Communicate updates in route status with the Customer Experience team to ensure the teams are meeting the customers delivery window expectations.
• Monitors and tracks field teams inputs in Dispatch Tracking software to ensure compliance with company policies
• Assists field teams with challenges experienced in the field  by providing call-in support and acting as a direct liaison with the Logistics Manager.
• Assist the Logistics Manager with Safety initiatives by providing reporting of field incidents
• Assists with the collection and memorialization of DOT required reports
• Works closely with the warehouse teams to communicate vital information from the field teams
