Litigation Attorney - Temporary

Direct Counsel is looking for a contract attorney for a long-term temporary assignment with a great law firm located in Los Angeles, CA. Qualified candidates will have experience in toxic tort litigation. Primarily deposition attendance (and summarizing) and assistance with written discovery. 

Requirements

•           Taking and defending expert and witness depositions

•           Drafting original motions and other litigation-related documents on complex matters

•           Drafting discovery requests and responses to be exchanged with various parties

•           Developing client relationships through oral and written communication

•           Preparation for trial including motions in limine, exhibit lists, witness lists

Qualifications:

•           2+ years of asbestos or toxic tort litigation experience is required

•           Requires a Juris Doctor degree

•           Licensed in California

•           Self-motivated individual with high energy willing to do whatever it takes to complete responsibilities on deadline

•           Experience in billable work environment

•           Superior written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
