Library Associate 2-Youth Services PT

Library Systems & Services (LS&S) is currently seeking a part-time Library Associate 2 to join our team in the Youth Services Department. LS&S is a professional library services company that provides exceptional opportunities for growth and development. As a Library Associate 2 in Youth Services, you will play a crucial role in promoting reading and learning among young library patrons.

In this position, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of an engaging collection of books, digital resources, and multimedia materials for youth. You will also contribute to the planning and execution of exciting programs and events that promote literacy and creativity. Additionally, you will provide exceptional customer service, helping patrons find materials, answering questions, and recommending age-appropriate resources.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a library setting, with a focus on youth services preferred
• Experience working with children or teens preferred
• Knowledge of children's and young adult literature
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using library information systems and digital resources
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

Benefits

• Status: Part-time, 20 hours a week
• Pay Rate: $16.00 Per hour
