Full Job Description
Liberty Paper is seeking an Accounting/HR Manager to lead and oversee all accounting functions within our company. This individual will work alongside an Accounting Clerk and will report directly to the CEO. This role also requires some HR and Office Administration experience. The ideal candidate should be extremely organized, resourceful, and continually seeking out ways to help the CEO to run the organization efficiently.
Essential Functions:
• Oversees day to day activities of multiple functions within the Accounting Department.
• Responsible for all facets of the accounting cycle for the organization, including accurate AR/AP management, monthly general ledger entries and all financial reporting to outside entities (banks, sales taxes, property taxes etc.)
• Prepare GL entries; responsible for month-end and year-end close
• Monthly reporting / Financial statements
• Processing Payroll with ADP and updating payroll related activities.
• Mentor and train one direct report.
• Coordinates year-end review and audits with external accountants and tax consultant, worker’s compensation and all the other business-related insurances of the company
• Administers group medical insurances, 401K plan and employee benefits.
• Performs all human resources and administrative functions
• Experience in Assisting external CPA with annual reviews and annual collateral audits is preferred.
• Experience in Annual preparations of 1096 and 1099 is preferred.
Requirements
- Education: BA in business administration or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in operations or logistics.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English (additional languages a plus).
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with learning new software systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and propose solutions independently.
- Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work well within a team environment.
