Lead HVAC Installer

Quilt is hiring for a Lead HVAC Technician to Join our Team!

Pay ranging from $40-50 per hour (depending on experience), with a $3,000 signing bonus. We will also be providing you with a company van and tools required for all service calls.  In addition, you will receive Paid Time Off, Company stock options in a fast-growing startup, Vision, Medical, Dental, Retirement and more!

No Sales & No Commission Requirements -- You will get a guaranteed 40 hours every week!

About the role

Quilt is a high-growth startup on a mission to move humanity off of fossil fuel heating to fight climate change. We’re building the next generation, beautifully designed ductless heat pumps and a delightful customer experience. We are also growing like crazy! We have 2 technicians now, and will have 15 by the end of the year!

We are seeking experienced candidates with a desire to grow to install our ductless mini split heat pumps. We are a customer-focused company and top-tier customer service is as much a part of the job as technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation and start-up of our Quilt ductless systems.
• Deliver an amazing experience for our customers.
• Troubleshoot, service and perform repairs and replacements on ductless systems.
• Ensure site safety and compliance with codes.
• Conduct quality control checks on jobs to ensure high-quality results.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience as a Residential HVAC installer or technician
• Including 2+ years of experience working directly with customers or homeowners
• Valid EPA Certification
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with Bay Area building codes is a bonus.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds, stand, bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.

This role is a full-time, onsite position based out of our Redwood City headquarters and located at customer sites across the Bay Area.
