Lead Electrical Assembly Technician

We are Data Spectrum, (a subsidiary of Motivo Engineering) a product development firm proud of its innovative and reliable engineering solutions. We are an engineering resource, supporting our clients’ product development. We are looking to hire an Assembly Technician to join our small, tightly knit engineering team.

Base Rate Range: $20/hr - $30/hr

Annual Profit Sharing Estimate: $4,160 - $6,240

Salary is dependent on experience, knowledge and interview performance.

Responsibilities

• Work from layout drawing, wiring schematics, and parts lists
• Install electrical and mechanical parts and hardware in housing or on PCB assemblies
• Use of hand tools for soldering, crimping, stripping of wire or other components
• Collect and track all material and equipment needed
• Work with supervisor and self-check progress to confirm proper assembly and technique
• Check output to ensure highest quality
• Maintain equipment in good condition
• Keep an organized workstation
• Log records of product quantities and time
• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

Requirements

• Proven work experience as an assembly technician or similar role
• Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings, etc
• Certifications: (IPC and J-STD)
• Good understanding of quality control standards
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to use various hand tools to produce final product
• Ability to follow instructions and diagrams as delivered for each product
• Personal value of reliability and trust
• Ability to manage time and tasks
• Relevant training preferred
