Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to a team of data architects and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Data Architecture Design: Lead the design and development of our data architecture solutions, including data models, schemas, and architecture, to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data management and storage.
- Data Modeling: Lead efforts to design and implement data models and schemas to support analytical and operational requirements, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and performance.
- Data Integration: Lead the design and implementation of data integration solutions to integrate data from various sources into a unified data architecture, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Data Governance: Define and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Performance Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize data architecture performance through indexing, partitioning, and other techniques, ensuring scalability and responsiveness for analytical and reporting needs.
- Metadata Management: Establish and maintain metadata management processes to capture and maintain metadata for data assets, ensuring data lineage, governance, and traceability.
- Data Security: Lead efforts to implement data security controls and encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive data assets and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Define and promote best practices for data architecture design and development, ensuring clear and comprehensive documentation to facilitate understanding and collaboration among team members.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand requirements and deliver data architecture solutions that meet business needs.
- Mentorship and Development: Mentor and coach junior architects and engineers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for skill development and career growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with significant experience in designing, building, and optimizing data architecture solutions.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading data architecture teams and delivering complex projects.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques, with experience designing and implementing data models and schemas for data warehouses, data lakes, and other data systems.
- Strong understanding of data integration concepts and techniques, with experience integrating data from diverse sources and systems.
- Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices, including data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to design and troubleshoot complex data architecture issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
