Reporting to the Sr. Production Planner, the Jr. Production Planner is responsible for developing production planning and control strategies to maximize the use of our resources in order to meet production specifications and schedules. You will need to be analytical in your approach as well as being a good communicator and able to collaborate and work closely with the production teams.
Work closely with the Sr. Production Planner on the following:
- Provide estimated manufacturing time for assemblies and align with production team on recommended efficiency improvements.
- Analyze and report on production status and activities, create daily reports, identify and address issues for minimal disruption to production activities.
- Drive data accuracy and inventory transaction accuracy.
- Work with purchasing to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Work internal or supplier material issue.
- May coordinate the shipping/logistics for deliverables directly to the customer.
- May identify long lead procurement and fabrications needs.
- May pull material from inventory locations to meet manufacturing requirements.
- Work as a key team player with operations, procurement and technical personnel to address production demands and resolve issues.
- Work to develop and implement best practice manufacturing planning systems within the Covina facilities.
- Contributes to achieve World Class material flow.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or higher plus 1 year or more of related experience
- An understanding of modern manufacturing planning processes and methodology.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly.
- Proficient to Excellent command of MS Excel
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- The ability to learn new systems and processes and be able to work effectively with team members from all levels of the organization are required.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, along with exceptional trouble-shooting skills.
