Full Job Description
The Item Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for configuring and maintaining product information in the ERP system and coordinating item change disposition and implementation between departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain item configuration (including revision and lifecycle), ensuring data integrity
- Use independent judgement to review information and make decisions based upon situational inputs
- Release and revise controlled data in the ERP System and related configuration tools
- Convert engineering data from the PLM system into manufacturing data in the ERP system
- Facilitate item change dispositions and implementation through cross-functional communication between data originators and stakeholders
- Maintain Quality Management System documentation
- Generate item configuration status reports
- Lead meetings with cross-functional teams to obtain required information
- Perform other documentation functions as required
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role
- Knowledge of configuration management and document and data management procedures including database storage, part maintenance, baseline and revision control, and archiving
- Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions in written, verbal, diagram, or project schedule format
- Working Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics preferred)
- Proficient with standard office software, including MS word, MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with Electrical and Mechanical drawings highly desired
- Basic knowledge of printed circuit board assemblies and documentation highly desired
Benefits
The starting pay range for this position is $65,000 to $77,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
