We're hiring an International Sales and Distribution Coordinator!

As a dynamic independent film distributor specializing in bringing compelling stories to audiences around the globe, with a slate of award-winning films and an ever-expanding reach, we are committed to elevating the voices of talented filmmakers and connecting them with international audiences. We are currently seeking a dedicated International Sales and Distribution Coordinator to support our dynamic team in driving global success for our innovative film titles.

About the job:

In the role of International Sales and Distribution Coordinator, you will be instrumental in supporting our International team, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position provides an opportunity to impact our global success within the independent film sector. If you are detail-oriented, highly organized, and a proactive individual who excels in a fast-paced environment, this role may be ideal for you. You will handle daily operations, coordinate major film markets, and foster strong client relationships, playing a vital role in delivering captivating films to audiences around the world. This position reports directly to the President of International Sales and Marketing.

Your Day-to-Day:

General Department Coordination

  • Maintain and regularly update databases and tracking systems, including contact lists, script submissions, screener data, and more.
  • Compile and analyze international box office data to support strategic planning.
  • Review and evaluate script submissions, brainstorm comparable titles, and provide insightful coverage.
  • Enter rights management data, including offers and closed deals, into FilmTrack or similar platforms.
  • Update and maintain the company's slate catalog, client-facing materials, and public listings on platforms such as Cinando and FilmCatalog.
  • Draft and distribute invites, cover letters, email blasts, and other communication materials.
  • Collaborate with the team to create or improve systems that enhance overall functionality.
  • Communicate with clients on behalf of the sales team, ensuring top-level professionalism and efficiency.

Sales Market Specific Tasks

  • Travel to major international film markets, including Cannes and EFM, to support on-site operations.
  • Assist with the launch of new projects, including creative material feedback, client invite lists, email blasts, and the creation and watermarking of PDF materials.
  • Prepare and organize supplies for international market shipments.
  • Manage the on-site market sales office, ensuring a smooth, professional, and welcoming environment for client guests.
  • Track offers, manage reports, and respond promptly to material requests during market events.

Miscellaneous Administrative Support

  • Handle scheduling responsibilities for the President of International, including managing regular calendar events and high-volume meeting schedules during markets.
  • Process and submit expense reports for the President and manage departmental invoices

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is $70,000, complying with California Pay Transparency laws that mandate upfront disclosure of the base salary. This amount represents the annual base pay for full-time positions, but keep in mind that the actual salary may vary based on several factors, including the candidate's experience, education, skills, the required specialization for the role, budget constraints, and local market conditions.

Our Hybrid Work Model:
Our hybrid work model is beautifully straightforward: We spend three days a week working from the office. These intentional in-person days allow us to fully embrace the benefits of collaboration. The remaining days of the week are yours to decide where to work, allowing for a seamless blend of work and personal life.

Requirements

About you:

  • You are passionate about independent film and global storytelling.
  • You will have previous experience in the film industry or international sales is preferred.
  • You will need strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • You should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. Experience in rights management platforms preferred.
  • You are able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
  • You must have exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to facilitate collaboration across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • A proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset are essential for success in this role.
  • Willing to travel internationally and work extended hours during film markets.
