Centrally located in Torrance, California, Sunnyside Nursing and Post-Acute Care provides sub-acute nursing care, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, and long-term care. Job Description
- Acts as the liaison between the clinical staff and the HMO's
- Collect vital information from various departments to be shared with the HMO's
- Verify coverage & benefits with the HMO's to ensure proper compensation
- Assist in ordering equipment, updating HMO tracking calendar and logs, etc.
- Update tracking for therapists, get signatures and approvals for equipment and script
- Obtaining and following up on authorization for services
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a clinical background and/or experience in a medical office
- Should understand medical terminology
- Must be able to read or quickly pick up reading clinical charts
- Excellent Microsoft skills - Excel
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record programs preferred

- Bilingual
- Skilled Nursing experience
Shift:
Full-Time
Monday - Friday
8:00am - 5:00pm
