Saturdays Football is a fashion brand focused on soccer and is headquartered in Los Angeles.
Our brand represents American soccer culture and is centered around nostalgia and community. We specifically allow our community to connect by offering vintage soccer merchandise and our own branded products for purchase and by hosting events like free-to-play pickup matches, jersey trading nights, and more.
We are a fast-growing and profitable business that aims to fulfill its full potential as soccer grows in America. As added validation, we recently raised funding from top tier investors and have also built partnerships with organizations within the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, and more.
We are specifically looking to hire a Head of Operations as we continue to expand our presence both online and through our retail stores. We currently have 1 live store in LA and 1 in NYC with plans to open more throughout 2024 and beyond. The ideal person will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of our ecommerce and retail operations.
Responsibilities
This person will drive operational efficiency, optimize processes, and ensure a seamless customer experience. This includes:
- Overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end operations of the ecommerce store and retail stores, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer service.
- Developing and implementing operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall business performance.
- Leading and mentoring a team of operations staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, sales, and finance, to streamline processes and drive business growth.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations and implement data-driven improvements to achieve business objectives.
- Managing vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demand.
- Establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality across all operational functions.
- Identifying opportunities for expansion, such as new product lines or additional sales channels, and lead the implementation of related operational initiatives.
Requirements
- A passion for soccer, fashion, or both.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in an operations role within the retail or ecommerce industry, with a focus on inventory management and supply chain optimization.
- An ability to operate effectively in unstructured environments with little hierarchy.
- A team player with effective communication skills and analytical abilities.
- Unequivocal curiosity, hustle, and grit.
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in using data to drive operational decision-making.
- Knowledge of ecommerce platforms, inventory management systems, and order fulfillment processes.
