SUMMARY
We are looking for a smart, experienced, and motivated Group Media Director to join our San Diego team.
The Group Media Director will be the primary lead on the Connections team for appropriate accounts. The ideal candidate will be passionate about media and have a strong background and knowledge of all media planning and buying disciplines and channels. They will possess excellent analytical, multi-tasking and decision-making abilities as well as a significant amount of client contact experience. The ideal candidate will also exude confidence in presenting to key clients, stakeholders and agency partners.
This is a hybrid work from home/office position (in-office attendance is required on Tuesdays & Thursdays) and the candidate must live near San Diego.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage Connections team members in developing, executing, and monitoring media plans for clients.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of clients’ business and apply media understanding accordingly to help deliver against the clients’ needs/objectives.
- Present connections plans and recommendations, as well as represent the agency with high degree of confidence and comfort.
- Uncover and deliver new and innovative solutions to client business issues and challenges.
- Prepare and deliver media presentations and POVs to clients.
- Provide thought leadership and help develop strategic direction for Connections planning and buying across traditional (TV, Print, OOH) and non-traditional (digital, mobile, etc.).
- Establish professional, productive rapport with representatives/media partners.
- Manage and analyze media placements to maximize ROI and report on their effectiveness and progress toward achieving goals.
- Serve as mentor and advisor for San Diego Connections team members.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all agency departments/disciples including: Brand Management, Digital, Broadcast Buying, Research, and Analytics.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 13+ years equivalent work experience in a senior management role or similar role.
- Knowledge and expertise across all media channels, traditional and digital.
- Travel client/brand experience preferred.
- Strong presentation skills in client, internal and vendor meetings.
- Proven leadership ability and previous client relationship experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
- The overall target range of base compensation for this role is $150,000 - $160,000. Compensation offered will be determined by additional factors such as location and experience.
