Full Job Description
The Full Charge Bookkeper will have strong bookkeeping skills, experience in financial reporting, and the ability to supervise a small team. This role involves hands-on work with general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable and month-end closing processes. With 2 years of management experience, the Full Charge Bookkeeper will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing accurate financial insights to the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities & Functions
- Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Prepare and manage financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant regulations, including GAAP.
- Handle income tax filing, business tax and property tax payments, and other regulatory financial obligations are met.
- Lead and supervise a small team of accounting staff, ensuring task completion deadlines are met and accurate.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and assist in ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve financial efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial strategies and decision-making.

Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, which includes at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
