About the Role
Our client, a nonprofit production company is seeking an accomplished director for their award-winning feature film project. This drama, with a script that has garnered over 30 international screenwriting awards, requires a director with a proven track record in creating emotionally powerful and visually striking films. The project offers the opportunity to work with top-tier talent and production teams on a fully budgeted 25-day shoot across locations in Los Angeles and either Kentucky or Alabama. The ideal candidate will bring both artistic vision and industry connections to elevate this promising project.
Responsibilities:
- Provide creative direction for the film, interpreting the award-winning script
- Collaborate with producers and casting directors to secure A-list talent
- Work closely with the cinematographer to establish the visual style of the film
- Direct actors to deliver powerful, nuanced performances
Requirements
- Extensive experience directing drama feature films, with recognized credits
- Proven ability to direct films in the style of "Me Before You," "The Sea Inside," and "Million Dollar Baby"
- Strong network within the film industry, particularly with A-list actors
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale film productions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
