Full Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and welcoming Facilities & Office Manager to join our team. As a critical member of our Operations team, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and optimize our physical infrastructure, ensuring that our facilities support our company's rapid growth and innovative nature. We're looking for someone with experience in facility management, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance who is excited about the risks and rewards of joining a Series B-funded startup.

We envision a world where every garment is made on-demand, eliminating overproduction and reconnecting people with the clothing they wear. We first launched our custom denim line to perfect our custom-fit algorithm and prove that our on-demand vision works. Next, we developed a 3D weaving technology, Vega™, that weaves yarns into garments in minutes, allowing for (almost) zero-waste, on-demand manufacturing.

About You

You thrive in dynamic environments where no two days are the same. You're passionate about creating organized, efficient spaces and have a keen eye for detail. Your ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a structured approach makes you an asset in a fast-paced startup. You're comfortable rolling up your sleeves to tackle hands-on tasks while also thinking strategically about long-term improvements. Your proactive mindset and problem-solving skills allow you to anticipate needs and address issues before they become problems.

What You’ll Do

The core responsibility of this position is to manage and maintain all aspects of our physical Microfactory, ensuring our location is safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity. You will work across multiple teams, with emphasis on the hardware, product, and operations teams, to realize the world’s first 3D woven products on the market.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Hollis Microfactory (including maintenance, safety, organization, and security), working on the 7:30am - 4:30pm schedule.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for facility upgrades, repairs, and installations.
  • Develop and implement systems to achieve and maintain peak factory organization, ensuring everything has a designated place and space is used efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices for a secure work environment.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist in space planning and office relocations as needed.
  • Manage facility budgets and optimize operational costs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of prior office manager or facility management experience— ideally including hardware warehouse experience
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Experience setting up hand tools, power tools, and some basic machinery
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills... this is a team sport!
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, perform occasional repetitive tasks, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Ideal Qualities

  • Proven experience in facility management, ideally in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
  • Familiarity with building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and energy efficiency.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Compliance & Safety Regulations
  • Experience working in a B-Corp Certified Business & Completing B-Corp Certification Requirements

Benefits

The salary range for this role is $71,000 - $80,000 USD annually, plus 0.01% - 0.02% equity, depending on experience.
