Our recruitment team is partnering with a renowned law firm in Los Angeles, California, to recruit an experienced Paralegal who will play a vital role in supporting their legal operations.
Role Overview
As a key member of the firm’s legal team, you will contribute to the smooth and effective management of cases in a wide variety of legal areas. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that all legal procedures are carried out efficiently while providing essential support to the attorneys.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth legal research on case law, statutes, regulations, and precedents to aid in case development and strategy.
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents such as motions, briefs, contracts, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Keep detailed case files updated and ensure they are organized and accessible for the legal team.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and relevant parties to gather information and assist in moving cases forward.
- Assist in trial and hearing preparations by organizing exhibits, managing schedules, and coordinating logistical arrangements.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies, adhering to procedural guidelines.
- Oversee attorneys’ schedules, monitor case timelines, and ensure compliance with legal deadlines.
- Leverage legal software and databases to improve case management and boost team productivity.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- At least 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm environment.
- Paralegal certification is strongly preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
