Full Job Description
We are currently seeking committed and passionate Instructors to lead Academic, Enrichment and Recreation activities for the Expanded Learning Program at Lakeshore Elementary. Our ideal Program Instructor will have a strong dedication to youth development, a sense of creativity and enthusiasm and be able to commit to working the entire school year.
Benefits:
- Pay rate: $22 - $26/hour depending on experience

Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work Monday – Friday 2:00pm until 6:30 pm for the duration of the school year.
- Must have an AA degree or higher, 48 + college credits OR pass the SFUSD Instructional Aide Exam
- Must pass a criminal background check and have TB Clearance
- Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and BACR staff
- Passionate about youth development
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to plan and facilitate activities for up to 20 students
- Must be able to work independently or part of a team
- Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
- Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors and language
Preferred:
- Experience working with Elementary youth
Responsibilities:
- Support students in developing the skills they need to be successful in school and life
- Provide homework and academic support for program participants
- Facilitate, write, and execute physical and academic skill-building activities based on students' skill level, learning targets, instructional strategies, and state educational standards
- Actively supervise and promote a safe and positive classroom environment
- Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors, and language
- Communicate regularly with the coordinator to ensure consistency
- Communicate to parents about student progress and behavior
- Ensure that all school space and equipment is left clean and orderly
- Maintain appropriate, professional and kid-friendly speech, behavior and attire all times
- Maintain accurate attendance records and reporting procedures
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings and ongoing trainings

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
