Dreamscape Learn, a visionary company in the field of immersive virtual reality entertainment and learning design, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead our software, hardware, and cloud development projects in support of our VR businesses. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from conception to completion, ensuring that all technical aspects of a project are executed successfully, on time and within budget. You will be working with cross-functional teams including software engineers, hardware engineers, and cloud and VR architects to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership of planning, execution, and delivery of software, hardware, and cloud solutions for Dreamscape’s Location-Based VR businesses
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals
- Develop detailed project plans and manage project timelines and resources
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of technical projects
- Identify project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
- Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines
- Provide regular project status updates to key stakeholders and executive management
- Manage project change requests and communicate changes to stakeholders
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring best practices are followed, and promoting innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software and hardware development, with at least 3 years of experience in project management
- Proven track record of successfully managing software, hardware, and cloud development projects
- Strong technical skills; experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, and Python, as well as experience with cloud infrastructure and hardware development.
- Expert ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules with team member input
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with strength in managing risk and issues
- Adept at negotiating internally as well as externally
- Expertise with Jira, MS Project or similar PM tools
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
- Experience with VR development is a plus
