English Language School Tutor (Summer 2024)

The English Language School (ELS) tutor works under the direct supervision of ELS Director and in collaboration with the ELS program coordinator. 

Qualifications: 

• Native or near-native fluency in the target language  
• Experience tutoring and/or working with learners of the target language

Responsibilities: 

• Tutor the student a set number of hours per week and log those hours biweekly as a timecard;
• Communicate regularly with the academic coordinator and the instructor(s) about the sessions; 
• Be receptive to client needs and suggestions;     
• Work closely with the instructor(s) of the customized language program to ensure the tutoring is aligned with what is being covered in the courses; 
• Prepare supplementary materials to be used during tutorial sessions.
