Full Job Description
Fuse is looking for an Electrical Engineer to develop and execute tests, develop and maintain board support packages, and design and specify cable harnesses for our integrated multi-enclave network products. This role includes new product development and troubleshooting, repair, and improvements on current designs. In this role, you will work with the production, software, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to design, test, and troubleshoot firmware and cable systems for fielding on a wide array of defense platforms.
Ideal candidates will have experience in cable harness design, firmware development, testing, and troubleshooting of technical systems. We are looking for a nimble self-starter who is passionate about enhancing warfighter capabilities through innovative communication, network, and software systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop system test scripts and establish acceptance processes for production systems
- Design cable assemblies for first article builds
- Set up and maintain test fixtures for production testing
- Troubleshoot and analyze system failures to identify root causes
- Develop and refine test processes for new product first articles
- Review and update test procedures for circuit card assemblies, subassemblies, and top-level systems
- Maintain and enhance automated test systems for production
- Utilize Fuse configuration management tools including Git, Jira, Confluence, Jama, Visio, and SharePoint
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field from an accredited college with 1-2 years professional experience OR six years equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Linux OS (RHEL, CentOS)
- Experience performing acceptance testing on electronics and understanding of the functions of electronics systems components
- Ability to read, interpret, and develop schematics and wiring diagrams
- Electronics troubleshooting skills down to the component level
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscope, network switches, and multimeters
- Ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship
HIGHLY DESIRED:
- Proficiency in writing Linux bash scripts
- Linux+ certification
- Programming experience in Python, C, or C++
- Knowledge of device driver development and embedded systems
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)
- Understanding of IPC standards
- Basic understanding of network concepts
- Active U.S. Secret clearance
