Full Job Description
As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will report to the Engineering manager of PSS and be responsible for all activities related to power supply system design (requirements, architecture design,system safety design).
Duties:
• Responsible for development of electric system design concepts using high voltage generator and high-energy density battery, as well as low voltage electric system design for an aircraft.
• Responsible for interface design of High voltage and/or Low voltage electric system, and flight control system development.
• Responsible for aircraft system electrical load analysis.
• Responsible for the design, research and development of advanced new electronic hardware technology applications.
• Responsible for wire and main power cable installations, minimizing the risk of wire damage, and to create/validate the standards for wire/cable installation.
• Responsible for system requirements and certification reports.
• Responsible for discussing Certification Approach and Means of Compliance with Certification Authority.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in electrical design, electric load analysis, integration and verification testing in aerospace environment.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience specific to electrical hardware, cable harnesses and associated technologies, and managing system suppliers as the technical point of contact.
- Familiarity with FAA / EASA certification processes.
- In-depth and current knowledge of Part 23/25/27/29 regulatory requirements,including system development per ARP4754A and ARP4761.
- Qualification of equipment per DO-160D/E/F/G or equivalent MIL STD’s.
- High voltage Electric Motor and Battery experience (~800v) preferred.
- Low voltage Electric Flight Control Actuator, Battery and other system electrical components experience.
